Brown spotting week5 day4. Scared to death

Hi Ladies

Just wanted to ask a question. I'm 5 weeks and 4 days today thru ivf day5et, my hcg didn't double in the second test after pregnancy confirmation. It was 118, 131, 215, 483. Noticed some dark brown spotting today. Called my clinic, they said not to worry and take a progesterone shot. I read some people had spotting and went on to give birth to healthy babies and in some cases it ended up in miscarriage. I'm worried about mine.

I haven’t personally had spotting but I would say although naturally you’re worried brown blood is probably better to have as its old blood and could be due to irritation if you’re using pessaries. I’ve read quite a few ladies on here have had bleeds and gone on to have healthy pregnancies, rest up if you can x

I'm 5+6 and have had 3 episodes of light brown spotting the last week... Saw my gp who has arranged an early scan for Monday when I'll be 6 weeks. When is your scan? I had one at around 6 weeks with my last pregnancy (ivf) I'm convinced mine is due to low progesterone but I'm not on any support this time as it's a natural pregnancy. Spotting is very common in pregnancy and doesn't always mean bad news so hang in there xxx

Hi I had bright red spotting at 7 weeks after IVF. Had previously had a mmc so thought it was all over. In fact I posted a similar message to yours and was worried sick. All was fine and I went on to have a healthy baby boy. You'll probably stress till the scan but try not to x x
