Appointment

Hiya I'm really confused I have an appointment In the morning at the maternity clinic but I dont know what for.my 20 week scan is next week so cant be that, if its routine does anyone know what it could be for, ?? I wonder if i could have scan tomorrow too as we are there...its a 2hour round drive to each appointment...saves going next week ...and impatient 🙄😁

Hi ghosty. Have you listened in on the heartbeat yet with the midwife? How were you notified of the apt and how much notice did you get? I cant think what else it could be...baby brain takes over. Whatever apt it is, im sure you will be reassured. Im sure its nothing to worry about. Good luck at the apt and do keep us posted. You must be looking forward to your 20 week scan. Its amazing. Have you had your whooping cough vaccine yet? xxx

I have two appointments between the 12w and 20w Scan. One is standard to discuss birthboptions with midwife and it’s actually held in a group session for low risk pregnancies in my hospital.

The other one was scheduled after my scan with a consultant to discuss my specific birth options as i have some specific issues going on and might not be low risk after all 😥

So it could be that sort of equivalent at your hospital?

What department/ clinic is listed as appointment location? I am at a large hospital and there the names of the rooms clearly indicate if it is on the scan unit or with midwife etc

Around my 20 week scan they want to see me twice, one for the actual scan and one for a consultation... I must admit I’m not sure what the consultation is for or about but maybe it’s the same for you?

Maybe give them a call and enquire? Xx

Evening all. I had my appt and it was due to me having asthma the consultant wanted to see me and advise If I get a chest infection then I will he admitted...plus side I heard my babba heart beat..really strong. The consultant said really happy with it, correct beat per minute etc....happy baby happy mummy xx
