I’ve struggled with this also. I’m slightly tipping on to my front, still on my side but tilted fowards with my pillow propped under my bump. It seems to be the comfiest position at the moment.

Hi Emily,

It does take some time to get used too and for me, my 36 weeks and I start pretty early (i think it was week 17) and I am still struggling. I am a back sleeper myself. I still get pins and needles on some occasion. I spoke to my physio and she recommends me to some arm exercise to strengthen my upper body. Youtube has many tips and hints on how to 'try' to get a comfortable position.

Emily, If you are suffering from pelvic pressure at this early times, you may want to bring this up with your midwife or consult a physiotherapist or maternity osteopathy? This suggestion is based on my current experience where my belly is growing exponentially since week 34 and I'm constantly awake due to pain but I have no issues prior to this until the late 3rd trimester.

I have spoke to my midwife and have been given some excercises to do they also gave me a slipthing to wear but it's only a tubeagrip so iv purchased a pregnancy support belt hopefully this will ease some of the pressure I think as I'm carrying rather low this pregnancy I'm struck with all the niggles much sooner I'm seeing my consultant in 2 weeks so will also mention it to them
