Hi all, this is my first pregnancy 24 weeks tomorrow.
I'm just wondering what you all think is better, sleeping bags or blankets? If sleeping bags where did you get them from, and how many did you buy?
Thanks

I got a Winnie the pooh sleeping bag from Morrison's I think. I was just given two more by a friend as well. I basically use a combination. Sleeping bags when they are washed lol and blankets when I don't have a sleeping bag handy. But also depends on the temperature as to what I use I'm not set on one or the other.....I like the best of both worlds
I just use bags! We bought 1 but got given 5 more!! I'd say you need at least 2! Morrisons, asda and sainsburys do lovely and reasonable ones xx
I used sleeping bags with my first & will be doing so again with this lo xxx
I've used blankets in the Moses basket right from the start with my son and he's 12 weeks now. I did use a swaddlepod from Mothercare when he was first born.
I feel like the blankets keep him snuggled in but I have to say I haven't tried the bags. In thinking if switching when he moves to his cot in the coming weeks xx
I used to swaddle when tiny with blanket and didn't wiggle so much, then started just putting blanket over and tucked in Moses feet to foot then he found his feet and would push himself up the basket to the top so started using the sleeping bags at around 6 weeks. Mine from Kiddicare 1 & 2.5tog, might get 2 nights out of 1...depends of he's been sick on it. (I really like my B is for Bear one) he looks so cute in it
I wouldn't worry just now about the bags, have yourself a few pram blankets and then get other stuff as you need it. I went and got mine when he started kicking off blanket and moving up bed xx
Now that my wee one is now wriggling in sleep at 4.5 months old I use sleeping bags I have two. Before I used blankets and swaddled.
I'm 38 weeks tomorrow and we are planning on using sleeping bags after speaking to so many people who raved about them. We have 3 of them and found that asda/sainsburys/tesco all do reasonably priced ones. We were also given a massive pile of blankets so have those in case she doesn't take to the bags.
We used blankets to begin with but lo kicks them off so found he was waking up cold in the middle of the night so we moved to sleeping bags and they are great..the gro store do different tog ones and usually have an offer online
I used blankets when my daughter was in her Moses basket but when I switched her to her cot I put her in a grow bag, she sleeps perfectly x
