Horrible cramps at 22 weeks

Hi.

I’m coming up to 22 weeks pregnant and the last couple of mornings I have woken up with the most horrible cramps. Like I feel as though I’m about to come on my period.

I’ve not had any spotting and when I saw the midwife before Christmas due to some spotting (caused from sex) she said the pain I was feeling was probably pelvic girdle pain but that was more concentrated on my back and hip and round to the front.

I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced pelvic girdle pain and had these types of cramps? We moved house last week and I think I have over done things as well. Which probably hasn’t helped..

I found this morning that the pain stopped once I sat up in bed. I’m trying my best to get used to sleeping on my side and use a body pillow but I think it’s aggravating it too. But I’m finding getting a good nights sleep quite hard as I wake up with a dead arm on the side I’ve been lying on.

If anyone has any tips on how to relieve it or some good sleeping options. I’ve got a midwife appointment in a couple of weeks so will be speaking to them as well.
