Hi all. I was just wondering if anyone on here had shared similar experience so I know kind of what to expect. I am 35 +2 with my second baby and just been told I have Poly and GD. I have appointment Monday to pick up equipment to control blood sugar and hen an appointment with consultant following Monday.

What happens at these and will baby be affected by this? Will I have to go full term or will I be induced or whatever.

Originally I was seeing consultant to discuss having optional csec bur now I have no idea what will happen there.

Hi I hand the exact same with my son I had gd and poly at 30+2 and was told to expect an early labour I was put under a consultant mainly too be checked out and to monitor movements and had regular scans up until my due date they like to make sure nothing changes with the poly however I will warn you back ache can be worse and sometimes movement of baby can't be felt as much we had many time we went up to check on baby's movement because I couldn't feel him but All in all he came at 40+2 after being induced(my choice) and undergoing a 28 hr Labour(he was comfortable lol) all to be given a csec due to his baseline dropping and not picking up again he's now coming on 18mnts perfectly healthy and happy...... Don't worry too much about it and enjoy your last few weeks ask the consaltant all the questions you have and you midwife they will tell you everything you need to know I went into detail of what exactly is poly and what it means wht will happen etc.... As for the gd had to take it 4 times a day and eat well keep hydrated that was hard as my cravings where sweet things but managed OK throughout.... Hope this helps out don't worry too much and enjoy the last few weeks of you pregnancy good luck x
