I'm pregnant with my first baby and just realized the last scan with the NHS is on week 20 and then that's it! I am a bit in shock as it seems strange not to have any following ones. Have you been having private ones afterwards at your NHS hospital (ours is private and public) or at any specific clinic you can recommend?
I hope these are performed by gynechologists, as I would not just want the scan but also someone to check it is all ok!
Sorry for the long post, first time mum worried about everything
Many thanks

Hi on NHS you have at least 2 scans at 12 weeks and 20. I agree it feels shocking that what you get. The Privite scans are done mostly by experienced health professional sometimes someone who previously worked as midwife. Those are not completed by the gynaecologist. The privite scan will be able to confirm the measurements of the baby, sex etc. But they are not the doctor so even if something is not perfectly right from what they can see at the scan they would always advise you to speak to your midwife.
You can progress your pregnancy via privite midwife care and this would include more check ups, scans, etc. But those are quite pricy (the one quote we were given this included privite midwife supporting you during a birth was approx 5.5k ).
