Placenta previa

So I'm 30 weeks, 3rd scan in 2 weeks to see if my placenta has moved.. And then if it hasn't again at 34 weeks.. Has anyone had it where it didn't move resulting in c section have had 3 natural births and so hoping not to have a c section with this one. I have read lots about placenta previa but never had it

Hello, I had placenta previa. My final scan was to be at 37 weeks with my consultation at 38 weeks to arrange section if need be.

I stated to have bleeds so was scanned each time I ended up in hospital and my placenta didn’t ever move. I ended up having an emergency section at 37+1 due to having another bleed.

I know they say it can move but I think it depends exactly how low it’s sitting, mine was completely covering the birth canal from 20 week scan and it didn’t move at all but I have read of people who’ve had it where it’s been slightly covering or close to covering and it has moved.

Fingers crossed it’ll move. Xxx

Thanks Amanda.. They said that only 27% is clear at my 20 week scan, but midwife says it should move.. So guess it is wait and see..

I have since had another scan and still have low lying placenta but has started to move.. Waiting to specialist Now to decide what to do from here.
