24 weeks and measuring 28cm..... anyone had this issue? Having my polycose test next week as a gestational diabetes precaution.

I’m an RN, so know most of the ins and outs of it all.... but this is my first baby and I’m nervous :(

Try not to worry too much (so much easier said than done). I measured 33cms at 28 weeks. The midwives all looked very worried and I had a long list of test where scary things were mentioned about things that could be wrong. Turned out that our daughter was just a bit big and laying in a position that day that made my bump slightly more pronounced. My husband repeatedly asked how running a tape measure over a pregnant bump could be considered such scientific gospel....no one really had an answer.

I was measuring 29cm at 25+5 weeks, so midwife booked me in for growth scan and GTT to see if diabetic. I had my growth scan tuesday at 26+4weeks, baby is perfectly healthy, heartbeat strong moving around well. Baby’s belly is measuring larger than what should be and head slightly too, estimated weight 2lb 7ozs so on the large size. Midwifes then plotted me on graph at 27 weeks, so not as bad when midwife measured with a tape measure. Will wait and see results from GTT testing and put them all together. Try not too worry, I know it’s not easy as I was in your shoes last week. xx
