Panicking

Over the last few days I could actually feel my tummy expanding and slight tender. I am 6 weeks gone now. Today I feel nothing in my tummy. I still have tender boobs and back ache but don't feel tender or anything in my tummy....I not bleeding or anything though. I am panicking. I'm due to see the midwife on Saturday. Please could someone put my mind at rest 😭😭

Hi Ghosty- these early days are all watchful waiting and many of us on here will know your anxiety all too well. Remember that the odds are on your side.

I can remember second guessing every twinge and ache/lack of ache and expecting my pregnancy to end every day. The doubts you are experiencing are totally normal.

Sore boobs continuing are certainly a good sign- the hormones are still there.

Sorry- an extra message-

The sore boobs can come and go too!

There’s a lot going on hormonally and they will go up and down all the time.

Thank you very much. At least I am not the only one. I never realised how much I would worry. If I don't get the feeling anything is in there I clench my tummy muscle in then it's soon a reminder. Gosh back ache is unbearab. Roll on Saturday when we see the midwife xx

When I found out at just after 6 weeks, I had this flutter feeling, I had aches and pains and bloating on and off from when I found out until around 9 weeks. There has been nothing until last week when I got a short burst of aches again, I’m 12 weeks and everything is fine.

I was also wary about the pains coming and going and then completely disappearing but as I say everything is fine. I wouldn’t worry, I was never wreck until my scan because I was in the unknown! I hope the appointment goes well :)

Thank you very much. If I can get some pointers to look for to keep my mind positive that all is ok I can relax a bit more. It's also not having anyone to talk to as I haven't said anything yet and my partner won't know about this sort of thing... xx

Good luck with your journey x

I think a lot of “feeling” is excitement when your that early on and just found out, I was convinced I could feel something there and a couple of days later, I couldn’t.

Enjoy it! Don’t panic, and don’t let your mind wander... refrain from google searching also haha. Good luck to you too x

Hiya. Thank you very much. I think that's what I have done. Googled everything and have scared myself senseless. I have seen the midwife this morning. So my mind is settled it's become more real and we are both excited. I have also told my mum for a bit of extra female support x
