First pregnancy, 40 w 1d today feeling tired, a lot of pain between my legs and very swallen feet, legs and hands. I'm also getting tightening feeling on my belly which makes it go rock hard every 20 minutes to an hour. Im going toilet more often and cannot sleep. Is labour on the way?

Hey my lovely, all sounds like a good sign to me , your emptying your bowels is that what you mean ?? That’s a good sign as that usually happens a day or hours before labour kicks in. How are you feeling?? Xx

So I had thr membrane sweep and nothings happened so far. I've been booked in to be induced this Friday, they'll be using a tablet which will be inserted into my vagina to get things going for me. Really scared but super excited as I'm leaving with my princess in my arms wether it takes 1 day or 5 days being in hospital x

Aw hun well you never know baby girl might decide to come on her own . I’ve had the pessary tablet inserted in the virgina and it’s ok just softens the cervix etc and helps labour a lot , they might be able to just break your waters if they can feel them too. I’m so happy for you only 2 sleeps to go til you go in , I wish you all the best xxx keep me posted xx

It could well be. If you are much more swollen than usual, I would get in touch with your midwife tho so they can check your blood pressure and urine.

Ive been tested for preclampsia and the results were okay. I also have a midwife appointment in the morning where I'll be getting a membrane sweep, not sure If it's a good idea or not but anything to get labour started because I can't stand this any longer :(
