Newborn Constipation

My daughter is 2 weeks 4 days old and hasent pooed for 3 days.

She looks in pain and cries uncontrollably. She is on Cow and Gate Colic and constipation. Dentinox 3 times a day. Ive tried massaging her tummy, bicycle legs, warm bath with me, cooled boiled water throughout the day.

Its so upsetting.

Anyone got any tips? She is formula fed only.

Try a very small amount of pure orange juice. That usually helps if you are really worried taken her to see a doctor. As she's and infant they have to give you an emergency appointment

I wouldn't bother with the dentinox... she's unlikely to be teething at 2 weeks and I don't think its licensed before 8 weeks anyways.

Might need to see gp for some lactulose

Hi

Congrats on your little one.

Is your LO breastfeed or bottle.

Breastfeed babies sometimes go for days without pooping. If it is bottle feed ask your health visitor for advice. Your baby it’s too small and if you are really concern go to see your GP as they will give you an emergency appointment.

Good luck

Apple or Prune juice 1 ounce or less! She will use it within 24 hours after it's given! If that doesn't help! See the GP. Congratulations BTW , my baby is 5 months now and I gave to her at 2 months while constipated. It worked in about 8 hours! Best wishes 😍❤️

Good.

Now relax and enjoy your little one. And don’t worry it will happen again and again.... soon you will be a pro...... it happened to us too now seems that she poops (massive one) every 2 - 3 days
