Should I be concerned

Hey guys, so I was referred to a midwife a few weeks ago and I was really looking forward to being checked out and hopefully being able to have a scan, Friday 22nd at 9:40. I waited all week and really built myself up to see the midwife. As i was heading out of the door I checked my phone and at 9:30 I had a miss cal from the surgery. I called back to find out they couldn’t see me as they had no running water. I understand situations like this can’t be helped but I felt so bloody let down. Luckily I didn’t have far to travel but I felt so annoyed and frustrated. I now have to wait till next week Friday 29th to be seen. I am severely paranoid because my symptoms haven’t changed and I’m trying to stay as positive as possible, I was wondering if my symptoms should change weekly or do they stay pretty much the same. Symptoms are lower back pain, sore breasts and lots of pee. I haven’t ever tracked my period but it would work out at 7weeks+3 days if I have had a period in may.

Congratulations! So long as you don’t have cramping with blood you are fine. Some symptoms come and go, some stay. Everyone is different. Your midwife won’t scan you at your first appointment. You’ll be booked in for your first scan around 12 weeks, this is normally at the hospital.Try to relax and look after yourself and baby. All the best x

Hi your first midwife appointment is abit boring tbh lots of forms to fill out about you and your partners family health, test urine, take bloods, check bmi etc I am 8 weeks today I’m seeing my midwife on tues to go through booking in again I mc in Nov so just done it months ago. Your symptoms sound normal I had cramps for weeks and have slight sore boobs and occasionally bad back but that’s it. They should send out your scan date nearer 12 weeks.

Your first appointment is simply a booking appointment. They take all your medical and pregnancy history and ask medical questions that could affect baby. You don't have a scan till 12 weeks unless something might be wrong. Symptoms don't change weekly as standard they do sometimes but not always. Mine haven't changed for months. And at the end of the day they cancelled for a good reason they can't legally treat patients with no running water. You are fine to wait a little longer for your first appointment you have time for your scan anyway even if they you you at 8 weeks they won't book a scan till you hit what they think is 12 weeks as there are things they look for that they can't see before 12 week. If you are worried you could pay for a private scan
