so i have taken 2 pregnancy tests because my period is a week late, and they have both come up negative, and now i am bleeding, but it is very very light, and i usually have heavy periods, and i looked up on the NHS website, that not only are negative result mostly false, but also if light bleeding occurs then its most likely implantation of the baby cells onto the wall of the womb, and although it could be my period which i doubt because i know my own body, i am having symptoms of pregnancy, like; feeling sick, not liking food i usually eat, tiredness, sleeplessness, cramps, hot flushes, peeping way more than normal and feeling faint. i don't know what to do, my friend says that i should go to the GP and i agree with her, but it is so difficult to get an appointment where i am even if its an emergency.

HELP!!
I’m 17 weeks pregnant now, and I experienced implantation bleeding. It was quite brown in colour if that’s any help. I didn’t do my test until 2 weeks after my period was due and it came up positive, but I didn’t start getting many other symptoms until around 4 weeks except a bit of cramping. Without a doubt your friend is right and you need a doctors appointment - would it be easier to get an appointment with a nurse? If you are feeling feint too often perhaps you could go to a&e - blood pressure problems and severe cramps should be checked out, but also it’s worth checking your temperature. Hot flushes - high or spiking temp and frequent urination that early on could be a UTI - which oddly enough happened to me. Never had a UTI before so wasn’t sure if frequent peeing was normal, but turned out it wasn’t. Very best of luck.
thnx, thats helpful
Some people seem not to get positive tests straight away, maybe wait a few days and test again using first morning urine. If it’s still negative and you’ve not had a period then see your gp/practice nurse. Please don’t go to a&e just because you feel faint, only go there for emergencies!
AS Mel says you should go and be checked. If your bleeding was bright red then it wasn’t implantation bleeding. I had it and it was brown - pink with specks of red as it was only a short period at exactly the time I was supposed to get it I did a pregnancy test knowing that would be negative. However I was mistaken as it turned out positive. A week or so later I was having severe cramps, high temperature, feeling a bit under the weather so I went to A&E. They checked me out as all my symptoms appear to be those of an etopic pregnancy. Had a scan done and blood test. Luckily it wasn’t however my hormone levels were not high enough and was adviced that the pregnancy would not develop. So glad that they were mistaken.
I would listen to my friend and go to A&E. Best of luck darling
It’s difficult - it sounds a little bit like you are very much hoping to be pregnant and it could just be a late period. I’d say even if you’re pregnant it’d be a bit early for all those pregnancy symptoms to kick in yet. I’ve been pregnant three times and symptoms didn’t kick in until around 6 weeks.
HOWEVER, if you feel this isn’t right then I’d go and see your GP for a potential referral. With my last pregnancy I had a negative pregnancy test, got a very light period then nothing for a week and then started bleeding again. This was accompanied by heavy cramps all down my right leg. Turns out it was an ectopic and ended in emergency surgery when my Fallopian tube ruptured.
I’ve always thought bleeding ‘just’ means period, implantation or miscarriage, but ectopics are dangerous and without wanting to scare you, if you feel it isn’t right and if you get pain (especially shoulder tip pain or unusual intense pain that stops you from doing whatever you are at the time), then definitely get seen quickly!
