About 5 weeks ago my Daughter was sleeping through the night (going to bed at 7 and sleeping til 8 with an hours nap in the day), 4 weeks ago I was sent to hospital and was there a week due to severe pneumonia and being pregnant. Since being back she has been waking about 12 and not going back for sleep til 4-5 and then waking at 7.
I’ve done everything I can think of to get her back to sleep but I can’t work out if she’s not sleeping because she could be ill, whether it could be something to do with my stay in hospital or because I am getting closer to my due date (March 28th).
I am a single mum and am also suffering quite bad with SPD and would appreciate any advice as all she wants to do is cling to me but I hurt so much it’s hard to keep picking her up all the time

Hi there,
Very normal and part of their development (unfortunately!). Your little one is probably going through the 18 month sleep regression. Your toddler is learning sleep is optional and they have the power to say no!
i’ve been told it’s the hardest one just because we are used to good habits by now but as with all phases it doesn’t last forever and is a case of waiting it out. Separation anxiety also plays a a part in the regression so your hospital stay might have wobbled her a little bit.
There’s an absolute tonne of info online on the regression and tonnes of forum posts (which I tend to avoid as they can be scaremongering!).
Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy. I hope your little one settles soon.
