Confused - Maternity notes

Hi everyone,

Hope your all well. I’ve got a very silly question here... I was going through my maternity notes and the section where it has blood results I have 3 columns of results.

First column 2011, second 2015 and third 2017. The 2015 results are from when I had fertility investigation and the 2017 are from my first Midwife appointment.

I didn’t have bloods taken in 2011, this was before I met my partner and before TTC. I’m really confused?!

Does anyone have any idea? Just wondering if anyone has had this before?

Thank you 😘

That’s odd. Can you ask the midwives? Xx

I think I’ll have to. It’s very strange. I googled the tests and they can be done for checking for immune systems issues etc but I don’t remember ever having bloods done and pretty certain the first time I ever had to give blood was 2015 which is when I had fertility investigation. So weird 🤔 xxx

Perhaps you had some done for a different reason but can’t remember. If you ask maybe it will jog your memory xx

I hope so. Feel like I’m going mad with wonder about what it is 😂 xxx

That’s a bit weird. I don’t have anything in my notes about previous bloods only my 10 week bloods and 28 week ones x

It’s so odd! I’m hoping she’ll be able to clear up what it is at my next appointment. I know it’s not really a big deal I’m just so curious about it because I’m almost 100% certain I never had any blood tests at all until I needed them done for fertility investigation 😕 xxx

I know what you mean! I’m always googling what some of the stuff means and I’m always checking what normal levels are for bloods. I thought it was just me as I work in a GP surgery so am always curious 😂 x

Did you do bloods at gps or maybe attend a&e?

Nope - I didn’t ever give any bloods at all until 2015. I remember being so scared because I’d never given blood before in my life.

It’s so strange. I’ve thought about it all last night and definitely haven’t given bloods for anything prior to Infertility investigation.

I have a Midwife appointment in a few weeks so hopefully she’ll be able to look into it xxx

Hi Amanda86. I think they are probably from some previous blood tests that have been included for comparison. See what your midwife says. Diane

Thanks Diane, just can’t understand it as we didn’t start trying for a baby until 2014, so wouldn’t have any bloods done prior to this for that reason and I’m very certain I’d never given blood before ever until my first blood tests in 2015. Hopefully my Midwife can clear this up as I’m so confused lol xxx
