Hi everyone please does anyone know if it's safe to give my 5 months old tap water

You can give water from the tap in the uk, if your baby is not yet six months old then it might be best to boil it and let it cool first. If your baby is six months or older you do not need to boil it and can give it to them straight from the tap.

If you are breastfeeding then before six months there really isn’t much point unless your doctor or health visitor has advised you to. Hope this helps 🌸

I’m pretty sure the official advise is to give cooled boiled water until your child is one year old.

Yes cooled boiled water. But if not able to do that water from tap is fine I’ve read that when you weaning from 4-6 Months sips of tap water are fine.
