Me and my partner have just started trying for a baby. I came off the injection early November and have regular had unprotected sex since. I have spent the last two days feeling sick. Now I don’t think it’s a sickness bug because it feels like a different type of sick. It’s more like waves of nausea. My gut feeling is I can’t possible be pregnant that quickly, your thoughts?
I was going to leave it a couple of days and then see a doctor if I carry on feeling like this?
Thank you very much
Update: still have the nausea without vomiting. I have today noticed from twinges in my lower stomach area. Feeling very tired and mood. Still no other symptoms that make me think it’s a sickness bug.
Any ideas ladies?

Best to take a test then see your doctor if the sickness carries on
I have strangely some symptoms of pregnancy after taken out my iud on the 15 of November and that was during my period which ended on the 19th. After that we and my husband do have lots of unprotected sex as usual lol but I also started taking folic acid at some point I was getting constipated and nausea and I have been peeing a lot lately .. my hubby says I drink too much water maybe lol .. for the whole of last week which is funny cause I eat healthy and lots of fruits and veg so was surprised I was constipated as it is one of the signs of pregnancy .. I have done lots of pregnancy test all negative i even tracked my ovulation and just didn’t stress too much about it cause I know Sperm can live in he vagina for 5 days so am hoping not to see my period Which is coming this month and if I do will keep trying.. I wish you all the best I hope this helps but do take a pregnancy test and clear your mind. You might have to wait till you miss your period. X
I think it's unlikely if you just stopped the injection but never say never. Get a test ... you normally woukdnt have nausea symptoms 6weeks + so a test would show at this point
Could be too early for hormones to show on test. Word to the wise tho, it CAN happen that early. Started trying Oct 2013 (came off pill & started folic acid), positive pregnancy test 23rd Dec 2013, missed miscarriage started Jan 5th 2014 & scan on 10th Jan showed baby heart stopped at 7 weeks. Jan & Feb 2014 were horrible.
Luckily pregnant again 6 months later in July 2014 & tiny tyke was 2.5 in October 2017. I stayed off booze & caffiene (changed jobs to reduce commute from 4 hrs a day) & this helped me to get pregnant again.
Oh & I was 38 when he was born (41 now) - so an "older" mum (except most of NCT group was similar age, just one was 47 when tyke born - IVF)
Thank you, I’m 22 and my partner 28. I started taking folic acid the week before my injection expired. Having had very intense waves of nausea all weekend but no fever or other symptoms linked to illness. I am seeing the doctor tomorrow and will be asking for a blood test
It usually takes a while for the injection to leave your system up to a year for your body cycle to work again. I came off it and didn’t have a period in the 4 months or get pregnant (wasnt trying) so luckily didn’t happen.
