Hope you’re all well and feeling good! I have a confession/question. For Pregnancy number 1, I was very dedicated to my pelvic floor exercises and thankfully I’ve had no issues. I have an 9 month old daughter now and 22 weeks pregnant and I barely have time to think of the pregnancy let alone flipping exercises! I’ve put a daily reminder on my phone but it’s normally lost in a pram bag or being eaten by a dribbly monster! So, has anyone not done the exercises or a very minimal amount and been ok? Or is it very probable i’ll be wetting myself with every cough after? (comments allowing me to continue to be lazy would be appreciated! ;0) ) Xx
I didn’t do them when I was pregnant with my 8 month old at all and he’s my second baby and I was dreading the consequences but I’ve been totally fine! I’m also pg again 10 weeks and like you say I don’t even get time to think about being pregnant other than feeling like crap let alone pfe! So who knows, maybe investing in tena pants next year x
Haha oh fabulous I shall look into them! Thanks hun, you too x
I don't think I did them as much second time around! My youngest is 3.5 years old now and my pelvic floor is in reasonable shape. I do Pilates every week and in the breathing pattern at the beginning our teacher includes holding our pelvic floor. If you have any trouble afterwards, don't suffer in silence, go to your GP and asked for pelvic floor physio. In France it's standard, all pregnant women have physio during their pregnancy and afterwards for their pelvic floor. My French friends think it's very strange that we don't get it automatically. And squeeze!
