Hi all I'm in my 35th week now. I had an ultrasound today and was told my baby was measuring 38 weeks?!! I'm not sure if the ultrasound technition measured wrong or the baby really is this size (it has been measuring normal in my other scans). I was wondering if anyone has any experiences like this and if anyone has average sized babies after being told this.

35 weeks measuring 38
My sonographer scanned me at 35 weeks for a growth scan and told me my daughter would be a big baby. She told us she would weigh 9lbs plus. She was 6lbs14oz when she was born! They don't always get it right!
Did they say what centile your baby was on? Or what the current estimated weight was? Maybe give your midwife a ring to see what she thinks. My weight prediction of my baby was correct but the only time they said how many weeks I was measuring was when they measured my bump? Sounds an odd thing to say!! I'm sure all is fine.
They're not really accurate that late on tbh. I was measuring small(as in my bump) and had three extra scans, all of which gave me wildly different weights and not a single one of them was right. So I wouldn't set much store by it! Sometimes I wonder if they just like to worry people ha!
