Late pregnancy

Im 38.2 weeks pregnant and for the past week or so ive been getting diarrhoea. It isn't constant but its usually 3 or 4 times per day. Im worried that this is a sign that labour is iminant. Please can i have some advice as im worried.

Don't worry I also had diarrhoea from about week 36 going at least 3 times per day! Ended up going a week over. However when I was in labour only went once! According to pampers your full-term so no need to worry if u went into labour, however for me diarrhoea didn't mean labour! Xx

Aww you are so close! My midwife explained that it is normal to feel like that at the stage, but it doesnt mean labour is hours away, it just means your body is preparing for it. try not to worry, but remember you are close enough for it to be classed as a full term pregnancy

If you are especially worried, try speaking with your GP or midwife x

Thank you. People have been saying that ill be going into labour any time now if I've got diarreha and its staring to panic me.

If doesn't mean that, if you saw a mucus plug, or your waters went, or you had contractions then likely yes ... even then its not a guarantee. However if you did go into labour tomorrow there wouldn't be any issue for baby as baby will be fully developed by now
