Hi I am approximately 14 weeks pregnant if my dates are correct and I haven't had any appointments with a midwife or sonographer for my scan. I have phoned numerous times and keep getting no further is there anything else I can do?
Thanks

Are you calling the right number? What's their reply when you told them it's not been sorted yet? as you really should have had your booking and first scan (at least a date!)
If despite persisting you've not gotten anywhere I could suggest asking 1. For a manager when you call, 2. If it's via hospital you could try speaking to PALS (patient advice liaison service) I'm not sure if they cover community too but they might have more info
I would double check the number as you can't get an appointment without speaking to a midwife, what I did was first step is doctor to confirm and then they give you the numbers for various children centres where midwifes are placed and then they give you an appointment to meet with them x
I am living in Bradford but want to have my baby at Leeds I think this is what has taken so much time. I went to the doctors and he told me he would do a refferal to the midwife, I waited 3 weeks and heard nothing so decided to phone leeds to which I found out they had no refferal for me. I had been almost by passed I then spoke to the midwife who faxed it over to Leeds straight away on have know been on the system for a week but they are saying my details have to go through a call centre before they can allocate me an appointment as it hasn't come through their system yet. I have never heard of this and it's really starting to annoy me I just want piece of mind and to know I am actually pregnant. Thankyou for your replies. 😊
I would ask GP to refer again asap. If you live in BRadford, why don't you have all your appointments in Bradford then closer to your due date change your GP to a Leeds one.
I would try to make contact one last time, and if you do not get a satisfactory response I will find another source for my prenatal care. Hello! Just following up to make sure that you've made contact with your medical care provider, and received satisfactory results, concerning your care."If you have any immediate concerns please go to the DR at once!

Adrienne 112 ;
Ring the antenatal department at Leeds hospital and explain the circumstances again. They will be able to tell you if they have any record of you or not!
I would also ring your GP back and ask to speak to the practise mannager (that should give them the kick up the bum they need). Just explain the emtional impact it's having on you!
Mothercare at foster square in Bradford and the one in Leeds do early pregnancy scans for i believe £25 when I looked for mine... you may be waiting weeks for an appointment once the referal has completed, having one of them may help ease your mind.
Hope you get it sorted soon! Xx
