Hi there ,

Am 16 weeks pregnant going for 17weeks, seem to be having a lot of complications I have cramps , bleeding and some haevry discharge .And the doctors thinks these are signs for miscarriage i, am very scared that I could loose my baby since they already booked me for an operation if the cramps are not stopping .

Anyone who might help please or had experience it before.

why would they be saying there going to operate, have they done a scan to see whats going on?

I really don't know and yes they did and say the baby is fine but I have some urine infarction that may be the cause

if the baby is fine then it is not sign's of miscarriage honestly you should get a second opinion, bleeding could be for a number of reason's, did they check the placenta and check around the sac? as I said if they have scanned and said baby is fine they should not want to operate, is your cervix closed?

Will know more on my next appointment which is sometime next week, cause they even run some tests so waiting for the results.

Bleeding is normal for some women and urine infections can be painful. I'm always in agony in my abdomen and back when I get them and I'm also vomiting and feel generally crap. Urine infections effect people in different ways. I've bled through 2 pregnancies and one time I lost over a pint of blood at 13 weeks. I believed I was having a miscarriage and was in so much pain go5 to the hospital and my son was fine. It was an issue with my cervix being sensitive to change and a blood pocket that formed and collected then burst which is why is happened in such a gush. It's unfortunate for us women who bleed in pregnancy as it is a constant worrying and worse when you have a lot of pain but from the sounds of it with a scan saying baby is ok you are not having a miscarriage I agree with lady above and recommend a second opinion. Hope all goes well for you but from sounds of it you seem like your having bleeding like some women just have when pregnant and they can't explain why everytime and the pain linked to the uti. They should treat the uti before assuming the worst. Midwife might be a better person to go to.
