I have a question as well. Can I have a booking appointment with a midwife at my GP practice, not in the hospital?

Only if the set up is present you have to call your gp.

You need to call your gp surgery and they will either book you in or give you a midwife number to call. Your first appointment (booking) is at 8-12 weeks. You will have blood tests and first scan around the same time. The frequency of appointments depends if you're low risk or not. There's a list of when you get seen and scanned (only at 12 & 20 weeks if low risk) on the pregnancy booklet that you will receive.

Do your appointments usually take place in hospital or at GP surgery?
