Bleeding nearly 11 weeks

I'm so worried as I started bleeding yesterday , lightly , I'm nearly 11 weeks and have had a scan date for a week on Monday guess I'm just thinking the worse. Has anyone else experienced bleeding? I have been fine up until now .

If I were you I'd see if you could get your scan brought forward or get in touch with the early pregnancy unit to get an early scan. Alternatively, they can take bloods to see if your hCG is doubling. I've had bleeding in this pregnancy and everything looks fine so it is actually very common in healthy pregnancies.  However, I would always get it checked out because I've also had miscarriages which started out with brown/pink spotting so the only way to tell for sure is if you have a blood test or scan. As you are 11 weeks along, there is a good chance that everything is fine. x

Meant to say if it's light bleeding with no cramping, you're not filling a pad every hour and you're not seeing any clots then it's normally all ok. They get concerned if you experiment any of the above.

Also, do not use tampons at this time as you risk infection. Sometimes the midwife will also ask to see the amount of bleeding on the pad, so that's another reason to wear a pad. Easier to monitor flow.

Thank you, I am not filling a pad so it's definitely really light I will ring doctor today.
