I took a test yesterday that says 3+weeks, i havent had a period in 3 months and taken tests in that tie that have said negative.

i have a doctors appointment today but i dont know how they will work out conception date or when i can have a scan.

has anyone else experience this.

I had exactly the same. I came off the pill and didn't have a period for 3 months. I was testing weekly as I work in a high risk environment so when I got my positive I knew roughly how far along I was. The midwife sent me for an early scan to check how far along I was which was a bit out but they revised my dates at my 12 week scan. Hope it all goes well. It might help if you can tell them when you had the negative tests.

Your doc can only work out the conception from your last period. Are you. Normally regular? You could have tested too early 3 months ago, did you test again after a few days!  Also, the test you do will calculate from conception not from period (for normal cycle) so add 2 weeks to that. They will probably book you in with a midwife and ultrasound scan asap for dating,as that is the only way to do with accurately if you're not sure about dates. You should be taking folic acid, stop smoking, alcohol etc. Congrats
