WHY can't I?

My HUSBAND an I have been trying to have a baby for the past 2 years.. I get worried at times that it might be me!? He has a son already. We both just decided not to keep trying. An jjust move along with our lives. We are still having fun. But I get worried it won't happen! Does it take time for some women to get Pregnant?

It took me and my other half years for our first. I used to get really upset as he also has a child from a previous relationship. It was about 2.5/3 years of actively trying, then we decided, like u, to take the stress off as we we're moving house, and within 7 months of moving, I was pregnant. That was 2.5 years ago, I now have an almost 2 year old, and my second child could decided to be born at my moment. Second time round happened so fast! My advice, if yr worried, go see ur Dr. I never did, and it drove me insane not knowing. I would have eventually if within a yr of moving nothing happened but I was lucky! Some women do take longer, some women need a little help to get there. Just don't drive urself crazy with it as the stress wont help.

P.s....both times I fell pregnant, it snowed, was my other half's birthday at conception and I ate mussels before my missed period was due. Haha, weird!

Thank you! Thats helps knowing I'm not alone.. Im like you I rather just let it happen . I use to stress about it a lot. But after we decided to stop trying an just have fun. The stress went away. I think I'll wait it out for awhile longer. Its good to talk to someone who had the same experience.. a huge weight just lift of my shoulder in relief... Hello!

It took me 2.5 years and a round of IVF to finally fall pregnant. It is really frustrating when you're ttc month after month with no success especially when it seems to happen do easily for others! I would suggest going to see your GP. Explain that you've been trying for 2 years and ask to be referred for tests. That way, if there is a problem, you can deal with it. Your hubby should also be tested (even though he has had a child) as sperm quality can change.

It took me and my hubby 2 and a half years of trying before I actually fell pregnant. I did go to the doctors though and they said stop trying so hard and only have sex every other day. So have sex then miss a day, then have sex again then miss another day and keep it like that. We did this after i went to docs and dont know if its a coincidence but after after trying this for 2 or so weeks i fell pregnant

After 2 years they will carry out fertility tests. I wouldnt sit around and wait I would try investigating why x

It took my hubby and I 2 years, we were just about to start IVF in March this year and then fell pregnant in February quite by surprise. Due in early November 😃 People say it was because the pressure was lifted off us. (I still have all the ivf drugs in my fridge!)

The only other thing that I know that helped is that we started a course of fertility reflexology in preparation for the IVF. Worth looking into 😃
