Hi everyone.

A bit about me- TTC over 7 years. Eventually endometriosis was diagnosed after 5 years & 10 months of TTC ( previously unexplained infertility) We then suffered a chemical pregnancy after my first laparoscopy. Unfortunately it regrew back & much worse so I ended up having another 2 surgeries to treat the endometriosis ( the last one by an endo surgeon) I did a round of clomid after my third laparoscopy & we conceived!

I am 9 weeks pregnant & have had our first midwife appointment. It was surreal after trying for so long. Everything is low risk except my bmi, craving fatty food hasn’t helped! A referral has been sent for our dating scan & awaiting a date. Based on my last period we are due 3rd June 2019.

Be nice to talk to others. xoxo

in reply todestiny121

I’ve left the fertility site as people don’t want any pregnancy stuff on there xoxo

I was posting to try to give hope because when I was going through infertility I liked seeing happy posts but there has been complaints about it ☹️xoxo

I would stay over here Jess because this is what happened to me every time I updated I was just reported. This is mutual ground on this thread no one can moan then.

in reply tomisswinky34

Thank you.

I’m sorry that happened to you too. I would never report anyone, I loved seeing positive updates that gave me hope. Doom & gloom would be awful! Infertility is such a dark place..you need hope!!! xoxo

🖐 Hi Jess, I'm here too. So glad all went well at your appt xx

Thank you. Lovely to see old familiar faces here. We can make this our “pregnancy post infertility site” 😍 xoxo

I moved over from the fertility site a while ago but still try and offer advice every now and again. My LG is now 8 months old. Hopefully now more people are moving over it will be more responsive x

Nice to see you here Jess. There are a few of us here who have come from the other board (I still post there to help others but no updates about myself now my baby is here so hope that doesn’t bother anyone!)

It’s never been quite as busy here as the fertility board but there are some very helpful people here and I guess the more people choose to come here once they’re pregnant, the more active the forum will be. xx

in reply tokt_11

Congratulations on having your baby, that is wonderful. Hopefully more are choosing to come here xoxo

Hi Jess

I think you’ll find a lot of people have moved over to this site. I keep an eye on the other site in case I can offer advice but then used this one for help when I was pregnant/ now the little ones are here

It can definately be a good source for information, especially as so many of us have progressed onto this site (which is great news).

Xx

It’s lovely to see others I know from the other site. xoxo

Hi Jess, good to see you on this site. I’m TTC for number 2 now, but after what has happened under your ‘goodbay’ post on the other site I rather stick here. I’ve struggled myself while TTC for my son but I always warned myself to be kind and respectful to those being pregnant the worst is just to became sad and sorrow to others who eventually are successful -that’s my opinion

I’ll follow this site too, as I’m sure it’s lots I can learn from new mothers to be too, lots of love to all💝

in reply toAnya80

I read my emails this morning & I can’t believe some of the comments that were made genuinely shocked by it 😳

I think good news on fertility helps others, it always helped me. Infertility is a dark enough place .

I wish you well with getting baby #2 😘 xoxo

I didn’t see that Jess. Has it been removed . Are you okay? X

in reply toromaluna2015

I’m okay. Most comments were not aimed at me. One said I’d made it all about me. That site isn’t what is used to be & even Diane has had enough of group members bitching & is probably going to resign. I don’t blame her one bit after reading those comments xoxo

I must admit it does get a little too heated sometimes. I don’t post very much anymore but lately I’ve been suffering a lot with pain management . And I only trust people off the fertility forum . Kind of got to know people .. in an odd way . I do feel sad that it came to what it did with the forum. But in time hopefully a solution is formed xx

in reply toromaluna2015

I blame lots of hormones. It did get pretty bad and people's attempts to put the fire out started off ok but then people started negatively commenting again. It felt like bullying. But all calmed down again now. It's probably natural that things will flare up every once in a while. Poor Diane having to try to deal with it all.

Luckily there is this "graduation" site.

Big hugs all xx

in reply to

I was genuinely very shocked by it. Luckily I only saw the emails in the morning ( these days I’m asleep at half 8!!!) & only saw clips. But what I saw was definitely bullying 😢 it really saddened me that bullying could take place in a support network site.

I convinced there are one or two internet trolls using that site & stirring it up & so does Diane, we had a chat about it. I think she will keep a close eye on it.

A few years ago ( I was there 4 years) you never had any arguments & no one reported anyone. The only reporting that took place was for spam & scammers. Everyone was really respectful of others opinions & just be considerate of others feelings, it felt like a safe place. Which is how it should be. The worst thing is it’s actually “friends” that are doing the reporting ☹️

I really hope it can go back to how it was , it was such a lovely community & I could not have got through this without the support. infertility can be such a horrible lonely place ❤️❤️❤️ xoxo

in reply to

It has gone now. Everyone wanted it to stop. Back to positivity and support x

in reply to

Thank god for that. It needs to feel like a happy safe place & a haven for those who need support xoxo

Hello Jess

I forgot I was on this forum.

At least you know someone from the other forum xx

Hi jess, I’ve moved here from the other site too. Sounds like we are roughly at the same stage. I’m 8 + 4 today, due date 10th June. We had ICSI due to male factor infertility and are now expecting twins from a single embryo transfer. I’m finding my anxiety levels really hard to manage at the moment and wishing away the days until our next scan! Xx

Hi Aprilmama

Double Congrats on the news of your twins👍👍🤰 everything is going to be good now you'll see 🙏🤞xx

Im also due in June. Looks like you Jess and I have a little June club going on lol. I know the feeling of being anxious still .... worrying doesnt stop does it. I still test although i have cut it back to once a week. These scans are so far apart we need extra reassurance. X

in reply toMasha111

Hi Masha, congratulations to you too, 9 weeks today for us! Thank you for your support and encouragement I really hope so! My midwife is lovely and has booked me an extra scan tomorrow because of my extreme anxiety! Had some cramping yesterday so really hopeful all is well! Xx

Thats really good you have that option. Im praying i get a good midwife. I spoke to her on the phone to book in my 1st booking apt which is sat. 9 weeks tomorrow for us. Good luck with ur scan and pregnancy. Feel free to message me should you wish to talk. Xx

Hi Jess. How are things with you? I cant sleep... now thinking of food lol. How are your food cravings going? X

in reply toMasha111

I’m sorry you are having trouble sleeping.

I’m okay thank you. I am waiting for scan date, I go from feeling positive about to terrified. My symptoms are stronger! So I hope that is a good sign.🤞🏻My tiredness is really bad, I crave really fatty food like takeaway chips which has raised my bmi so I will need glucose tests doing my pregnancy 🙈, my breasts really hurt, still bloating & have no control of releasing wind which is so embarrassing 🙈 & my latest symptom is hormonal mood swings- like pms but much much worse very weepy . I find symptoms comforting but am look forward to them easing preferably after my scan so I know all is well ❤️

Have you seen the midwife yet? xoxo 😘

Masha111 profile image
Masha111 in reply to

Hiya.

Sorry to hear of your raised BMI and cravings for fatty food. I find i wont crave too long for that one food. Perhaps you may find the same. I hope your BMI goes down and not the other way.

In terms of wind 'better out than in'. Im struggling with this and its not good lol.

It is good news you still have symptoms can only be a good sign. There has been moments where i have felt normal and started to worry.

I am seeing my midwife on saturday for the booking apt. I am yet to receive my letter about my scan.

Midwife will look after you and provide you with the reassurance you so need esp when she tells u the scan is good and all is well xx 🤞🙏😘

Let us know how you get on x

Ahhhh its so good to see a familiar face moving from the fertility board to here :-) I am 9 weeks 6 days and due 3rd June!!!

How have you found it? Sounds like its been a bit of a rollercoaster but so happy everything is back on track for you!

We had our scan at 7 weeks 2 days, they saw a heartbeat (but didnt tell us how many beats..and I was so relieve I forgot to ask)

Ive noticed my symptoms have calmed down a lot over the last 2 weeks which freaked me out a lot but after seeing the heart beat, Im hoping thats normal.

Our next scan is 27th November and Im counting down the days!! Im just so nervous as Im classed as high risk due to an underactive thyroid, which is under control but still monitored by a specialist so feels a little like they are wrapping me in cotton wool!

S xx
