I'm not sure if I'm being paranoid but how come my morning sickness and nausea has suddenly gone? My boobs no longer feel sore either. More or less all of my earlier symptoms have gone minus the tiredness. What does it mean? Next week will the beginning of week 10 for me but I still want to know if embryo is doing ok, even if I am grateful that I no longer feel sick. Do you think I should call my gp and ask for an early scan or hold out until 12 weeks?

Why can't I feel anything anymore 9 weeks in?
Pregnancy symptoms do come and go and they tend to get better towards your 2nd trimester. I never had any symptoms of pregnancy, never had morning sickness or boob tenderness, so they're not really a good indication of how your pregnancy is progressing, and they could come back with a vehemently tomorrow. It's unlikely that the GP would do anything, I don't think with any of my pregnancies I've ever seen my GP, everything pregnancy related is done through your midwife, if you've already had your booking in appointment with your midwife you could call them for advice, but they probably wouldn't refer you for an early scan if you don't have pain or bleeding. If you wanted a scan, probably going private is your best option. Hope everything is OK and you have a happy healthy pregnancy xx
You probably won’t be scanned on the NHS but you can get a private early pregnancy scan quickly and usually for less than £100. If you’re feeling super stressed it might be worth it xx
As long as you have no pain or bleeding then there is a good chance everything is ok. It's not uncommon for pregnancy symptoms to come and go. When I was pregnant with both of my boys my morning sickness stopped at about 9-10 weeks. And with my second I remember feeling really awful between week 7 and 8 but by the time I got to week 9 nothing, I felt great. If you want reassurance you would probably need to pay for a scan and if you want peace of mind and you can afford it, its probably worth it. Good luck!
You could pay for a private scan 🤗 the symptoms can come and go but if you are worried it’s defo worth the money (at 10 weeks our scan was £55). Your GP won’t scan you any earlier and as you have no pain and no bleeding etc the EPU are unlikely to do so either xx
I’m also 9 weeks & had minimal pregnancy symptoms other than breast tenderness & a bit of back pain here & there. We booked an early scan for £65 at a private clinic yesterday and it was amazing what we could see! Could make out the head and the heartbeat. Everything looked good so far and I feel so relieved that we were able to get some sort of confirmation. I would definitely recommend booking for a private scan. Your gp won’t do anything unless you are in a lot of pain or bleeding. Good luck ☺️
Hi
Symptoms do come and go and sometimes they disappear for a couple of days to come back with a vengeance. At 9 weeks the placenta might just start to take over so that might be the reason for your relief from symptoms.
Having said that, if you feel it doesn’t feel then trust your instincts. It is most likely nothing, probability of a healthy pregnancy is generally on your side, but don’t dismiss how you feel, it’s so easy to get a scan to check.
A private scan might be the quickest and easiest to arrange. Go to a reputable place however, not all of them have experienced and fully trained medical staff.
Also call your local hospital EPU and ask for a scan. They should be able to offer you one but you may need to wait a few more days. Tell them that your symptoms disappeared and you are anxious about it. At the very least they will offer you some advice which may be reassuring.
I would most definitely call the early pregnancy unit at your local hospital if you really are concerned. They are available 7 days a week and will advise up to 12 weeks. I have been under the EPU for my pregnancies. 2 of which have not ended well and they have been amazingly helpful regardless of any concern. I would highly recommend not going for a private scan. In the worst case scenario they are unable to provide the full support needed and do not have your medical records. Please if you are concerned contact the EPU. It could be absolutely nothing and be normal but for the sake of a quick call why not? Go by your instincts. I have had a midwife tell me things are “normal” and they haven’t been. Normal isn’t for everyone. As I say it could be nothing but for peace of mind or support give them a call.
Thanks for all your replies. It is reassuring to know that some times the placenta kicks in sooner than expected. Hopefully, praying everything is fine
Is everything ok ?
Hello, it turned out that everything was completely fine. 4 months ago, when I first wrote this I was in my first tri and everything was new and confusing so I had no idea what to expect. I now know it is quite normal for sickness symptoms to fade as your body adjusts itself to the pregnancy. I’m now in my third tri and things are going well, thank God 🙏. Thank you for checking 😊.
Thank you for replaying glad to know that ❤️❤️I am also 9 weeks pregnant and my morning sickness fades.
