Hi everyone! I am looking to book a holiday abroad as a surprise for my partners birthday next March, we will be taking our then 2 year old with us, and this will be the first time going abroad. Can anyone recommend anywhere? Not overly pricey and really child friendly?!

All inclusive good for that age due to constant wanting of juice and ice cream and little and often snacks. Europe so expensive aswel for drinks and snacks. Egypt good and not too hot at that time. Also not sure on budget for yourselves but Santa Maria really child friendly and fantastic facilities. Parks, enclosed play area on the beach, toddler disco and turtles too! Wherever you go though ask for ground floor accommodation, for getting your pram in and out and in case they are "climbers" near a balcony. Also bear in mind check out times in relation to flight times ( we once had a hotel in Bulgaria try and kick us out the hotel at 10 am when our transfer wasn't picking us up until 2 in the morning. With a 1 old. Yeah, that didn't go down well)

I agree with the all inclusive option, but really check the reviews as my boyfriend and I went to Fuerteventura last November for my 30th, I was 13 weeks pregnant and nearly everything was reheated/kept lukewarm so we ended up eating out alot instead. Fab beaches though stay in a busier town such as corralejo if you go there as finding buses was hard work when we stayed in a more remote area. 😊 x

Club med are the best, all inclusive food , drinks and sports any clun med will do, the pick you from airport and everything... they are just fab!... if you pay something a bit extra, they will, during the day, look after your child, they have people trained to entertain him, they have activities, food, games ready for children... Also they have babysitter at night time but you need to book it in the club and check for availability
