It's the Gro Anywhere blackout blind. We got one to take to Cornwall with us when we went the other week & we couldn't have done without it. It can be made to fit bigger or smaller windows using the attached velcro. I wouldn't imagine it's good for regular use though unless you left it up all the time & I think I read this on some reviews when I bought it. It would be a pain to take it down then re-stick it back each day. Plus the suckers would start to loose suction if you did this after a while.

But I would recommend them though especially if you travel a lot.

I've been thinking about what I should do as I have venetian blinds and they let far too much light in! Not that lo really notices. .. He is sparko while I'm wide awake lol

We bought one of these and found it didnt really make any difference , our son would only sleep if he wanted to regardless of day light!

Check prices against kiddicare.com and Amazon too we found them cheaper at the time.

Oh no! Please stop using these and give your babies a chance to develop natural sleeping patterns. This will affect them for the rest of their lives. And their digestive rhythms are all tied in to this too, and if you're breast feeding it's the worst thing to get your milk production all out of sync!

Bit dramatic....

really?? how will it effect my child then if his room is dark at night, I breastfed for 7 months no problems, think u need to rethink what u said as sounds like rubbish

It would only be detrimental if a parent was stupid enough to decide that they would use them to pretend it's night time in the middle of the day, etc. Otherwise, what is the difference?? I don't use them yet but will be. My mum made sure my room was dark when I was a baby and young child. I am now a fully functioning human who can actually sleep in light or dark....guess it didn't affect me forever then.

I understand katiekrinklebum you live in Brazil where your daylight hours are approx 12 hours a day. Here in the UK we have approx 18-19 hours daylight in mid summer, this can play havoc with baby sleep patterns.. I love my blackout blinds as it means I can help my lttle one sleep at 10pm when its still light :)

Even though i love the summer months. ..Id only use it for the summer when it's too light at night and early morning... No need to use in winter as it's dark at 5pm and starts getting light at 7am... Didn't realise ventian blinds were so crap at keeping out light!

Well I didn't know these exists when I was away last month. The lo's room was so bright she wouldn't sleep at night. South facing room so the sun was right on the window and it got very hot in her room :-(

I Googled it ..... and as a super cheap option.... just wipe the glass with a wet cloth and put tin foil up at the window!!! Absolutey amazing! !! :-)

I have one of these gro blinds and was using it when I had white curtains but felt it messed with my body clock as I need to wake to more natural light so we brought a black out blind that is not technically a black out! And 'light reducing curtains' which has all helped, as before the whole room used to light up with security lighting and then the sun rise. I still have an early riser but it's more because he has has enough sleep...it's mummy and daddy that haven't. Cannot win them all but I would take my gro blind on holiday as you just never know what you might be stuck with when away. Xx
