I use quite a lot of 'UHU all purpose adhesive' as I craft stationery for a living, it is quite strong smelling stuff and i can use it for up to a couple of hours at a time. I have only just found out I'm pregnant but am a bit worried because it will make my work very difficult if I can't use it as I'm self employed!

is using glue safe when pregnant??
If it's not safe it would have some form of safety labeling. Does it indicate on the packaging any issues with prolonged use? Are you using it in a well ventilated place? I worked during my pregnancy in contact daily with anaesthetic gases which due to adequate ventilation was not a problem and my daughter is very well.
The best thing to do would be to read the MSDS, ( material safety data sheet), for that specific product, which you should be able to find online somewhere, and then research each listed ingredient in the product. Manufacturers are only required to list or warn against known hazards, so if a product hasn't been tested against its effects on reproduction or pregnancy then it won't show on the package. Even some stuff labeled as non-toxic isn't guaranteed safe.
This might be the MSDS for it: flints.co.uk/pdffiles/UHU_T...
