Fan question; So a few weeks ago I found out I was pregnant. Well just yesterday I sadly found out that the baby was never forming or growing. So my Doctor wants me to take a medication to help start the process of passing everything. Even though I wasn't far this is still really hard because me and my so really wanted this baby. Has this ever happened to any of you ladies, and How soon after did you start ttc again, was it hard to? Should I take the medication or no? The Doctor said my hgc levels within in a week went from 735 to 729 an ultrasound showed only a sack and no fetus at all, according to my Doctor. Thoughts?

Hey,

I'm sorry for your loss this happened to me it's a horrible thing to go through as your so excited to then be told that the baby was not forming. The medication that they want to give you is to soften your cervix to allow the sack to pass. It does not really matter whether you take the tablet or not as your Hgc levels are coming down. But if you had no troubles conceiving first time around you should have no problems conceiving again. my first period after taking the medication I conceived again

Good luck and again sorry to hear you news

Hi

So sorry to hear, it's devastating. I have had 2 miscarriages, one that was spontaneous at 11 weeks and one that was a missed miscarriage where I found out at my 12 week scan that it hasn't progressed passed 9 weeks. For me they gave me an ERPC where the sac is removed under general anaesthetic as I hadn't had any bleeding for those 3 weeks and they just wanted to get it out I think. Both miscarriages were incredibly hard so I really feel for you. It had never even occurred to me I could miscarry as I thought it was something that happened to older mums...what a stupid and naive idea!

Anyway, after my first miscarriage we waited one month until my period and then started TTC again as we still yearned for a baby so much, it took another 5 months to conceive and that pregnancy was fine and I now have a 3 year old girl. The second miscarriage was much tougher as it was later but we still started trying again after my first period but we used ovulation tests and conceived on the second month of trying. I have an 11 week old boy.

After both miscarriages I felt I would never be happy again and it really shook me, I am obviously over the moon with my family now and although the pain is still there from the ones that didn't work out it is much less!

Best of luck with it, in my sxperience the passing of the sac etc can be quite hard work emotionally and physically (not wanting to scare you as everyone is different) so just take care and be kind to yourself. I am sure you will be on here again soon enough with more positive news!

Hi, so sorry for your loss. I had a m/c at 11 weeks. Prior to that I had a feeling something wasn't right as in my first pregnancy I had some form of first trimester symptoms. Second time round I didn't feel pregnant and was dreading my 12 week scan but as it happened I lost the baby before that, i guess the baby was not developing properly. I didn't need medication to help things along as everything happened naturally itself. After that I waited for my period to regulate again (2-3 months) to give myself and my body the best chance and tried again as the thought of m/c again was awful. I fell pregnant without even really trying! Now I am days away from having my second child :-) It will happen for you too. Give yourself some time to recover and try again. All the best!

Hi, I am so sorry for your loss. In July last year I went through the same thing, started bleeding at 8 weeks. Went in for a scan and the baby only measured to be 5 weeks. They gave me another week just in case I had my dates wrong. Was in a lot of pain that week and the following scan showed that things hadn't progressed. I had an ERPC. We started trying again in October as when I was pregnant I found out I wasn't immune to Rubella so had to have two jabs with a month in between and then had to leave a full month before we could try again. I'm now 24 weeks pregnant. Miscarriage is an incredibly painful time and I would let yourself grieve the loss. At first it feels like the intense sadness will never go away but gradually time heals. I've taken this pregnancy one step at a time and so far so good. Hope it all goes okay for you.

Hi I'm sorry to learn about your loss. I have had 2 losses in the past year. I underwent an EPRC as both were missed miscarriages. After the 1st mc I was emotionally not ready but conceived within 6 months. When I miscarried in August again last year I just gave myself time for a month to regulate my cycle and got a positive pregnancy test in November. The doctor in the EPU did say after a mc woman's fertility increases tremendously. It's not easy but time is the biggest healer. I'm 21 weeks now, take care and I hope it all goes ok for u.
