6 weeks pregnant, first time only seen the doctor once and he just basically advised us of the hospital and said we will hear when our first scan is. When do we find out when it is? Just seems a lack of information of what next or are we just stressing out
Thank you

From experience unless there are any issues, your first scan will be at 12 weeks, then 20 weeks thereafter. It is a bit fretful I was the same with my first but don't stress and just enjoy Xx
U shud hav a booking appointment wirh ur midwife around 10 weeks. . Which is just paper work/blood pressure/weight. Did ur gp say u needed to contact a midwife or did he say he wud. X
I did not not go to the doctor with my 1st pregnancy or this one, I went straight to the midwifes, I phoned and made the appointment myself and had my 1st appointment around 8 wks and my scan at 12wks hope this helps. X
Congrats! Did you get your vanilla folder from your GP? It contains your notes and you need to take it to all your appointments. At the front of mine there's a guide to when you get various appointments, but that said, it doesn't tell you much before 12 weeks. I think it varies from area to area, but generally you get an appointment with the midwife at 8 weeks (just paperwork and a urine sample), I then went for blood tests the week after which I was told to arrange (blood type, iron levels, STI panel, and for me blood glucose cos Dad's diabetic). About a week after that I got my letter with my 12 week appointment. At 12 weeks I had first scan (for dating) at the hospital (more bloods for combined/quad test & urine for UTI). I'm 13+3 and have my appointments for 16 weeks with midwife booked (I had to do that one), my 20 week scan and glucose tolerance test were booked just after I had my 12 week scan. Hope that helps
They sent me my 12 week scan date the week before I had it. If you've still not been given a date by 11 weeks I was told by midwife to phone the ultrasound dept.
