You really need to talk to your doctor about this, and get expert advice. Just to get the right advice for your individual situation. Good luck!

My neighbours daughter has PCOS and was basically told she will never have children, naturally or IVF. She didn't accept it and started a really healthy diet, lost some weight and with the help of ovulation tests (because she didn't have regular periods) she fell pregnant naturally Twice, had normal pregnancies and the result is 2 beautiful daughters! :) anything is possible! Xx

Well done for getting professional advice early. It sounds obvious, but you need to have lots and lots (and lots) of sex to increase your chances! I don't have PCOS, but it took me 14 months before I fell pregnant. I did use ovulation tests towards the end (you can get cheap test strips in packs of around 20 on Amazon). And I guess just try to be healthy - diet, not smoking, all the obvious stuff. Try not to get too stressed out and fixated on it, although I know that's easier said than done! And I really do wish you all the best. As other people on here have said, it is possible!

I also have pcos & with my first daughter conceived with the help of doctor & taking tablets. With lo I'm expecting now I conceived naturally while awaiting on hospital appointment for fertility treatment. I didn't do anything different appart from adopting a positive attitude & cut down my alcohol intake. As rachgibson said a health diet also helps. Good luck xxx

I also have pcos but not overweight. Tried for a baby for two years plus -- was given metformin by the doc to help with my period/ovulation but it made me sick,, I lost appetite in food so I had to stop.

I was however taking pregnant care and my husband men's vitamins.

Miraculously I found I was pregnant after the Dr sent me for a scan in preparation for referring me for fertility treatment.

I have to add that monitoring your mucus helps, as I remember I made sure I dated hubby when I felt fertile -- I.e. my mucuc slippery.

I also have pcos and was classed as overweight. Doctors sent me to specialists for more tests etc I was told needed to have bmi of no more than 30 and mine was at 37 so I started to lose weight (which took forever) and started on metformin tablets (which are for people with diabetes) I haven't got it but it's apparently shown to help with fertility. Anyway finally got to the stage of getting referred to get insemination treatment as I was ovulating and before appt came through I was already 7 weeks pregnant :-) so I would say speak to doctor who can then make referral for u to c specialists and discuss options. If u are overweight I would suggest trying to lose a bit info weight as they will say that. Maybe that's what helped with me falling pregnant naturally. Good luck x

Hi. My sister in law has pcos. She was recommended to take agnus castus herbal tablets to help regulate her periods. She fell pregnant with twins! I also took them after coming off the pill to get my periods regular and now im pregnant with my first! Speak to your GP first and follow he instructions on the pot. Good luck :)

U hav done great losing weight..its easy for me to say but don't over think it..Obviously having sex as much as u can will obviously help. Maybe a holiday or a weekend away may help u relax..as some of the other ladies replies show it is possible and sorry about the random comments at the bottom of this feed..some troll was saying gross things on here so me and a couple of other girls replied but they had been deleted so our comments r what is left..xx
