I'm in same boat, I was going for Britax but few of my friends had issues n by time all there kids 2 could get out straps, maxi cosi has great reviews, the Toby has good review and lots of friends recommended it also the anixis (my not have spelt right) by max cosy has good reviews, went looking yesterday Alford's have Toby for £140 n anixis for £180 n fit it free

I purchased a Recaro for my Son.

It has excellent reviews & large head wings for safety. I thoroughly recommend it.

It's also very difficult for him to move a lot, let alone get out when he's older.

I purchased it from Kiddicare.
