Hiya, My baby was breech until 36+4 and today we learnt he is at cephalic position. DOes this mean he is in the birth canal? Also my report in the urine test there is ´´trace intact blood´´ is it normal?

Cephalic is head down, ready for birth which is good :) Not too sure about the urine though.

Thank you. I wonder does that mean he is in the birth canal or maybe he can turn again?

I think they could still move but unlikely. And it depends how deep in the pelvis they are. That is indicted by a number +4 to -4. It may be in ur notes too. x

Thank you but there is no number:(

They do not worry about trace of blood I've had it a few times but yes baby is head down but if there are no numbers then Prob not engaged yet x

The more closer to ur due date the more it usually comes down into ur pelvis u will notice the top of ur tummy seems lower ask ur midwife about it at ur next app she will explain it to u properly and write it on ur notes so u can see at every visit what they write x

I always read what they write in my notes b4 I leave so if theres something I dnt understand then I ask them..if the blood in urine was bad then I am sure they wud of discussed with u.

Hi first time mum, your little one certainly likes to keep you on your toes! Good news that he has turned though I am sure it has been difficult to get your head around at such a late stage. First babies tend to start to engage earlier than subsequent ones (as early as 36 weeks so it could be any time but every woman and baby is different). When baby starts to engage you might feel 'relief' in your breathing - your lungs have a bit more room to expand and you can feel more comfy there although sometimes more uncomfortable in your pelvic region - especially having an increased need to wee like you have at the beginning of pregnancy. I would say that a trace is not a concern (as someone said they would have talked to you about it if it was) but if you feel worried about it give your midwife or GP a call for reassurance. All the best.
