Hey yh it's recommended and I've had both and found it fine :-) felt a little bit rubbish after the whooping cough jab but it was totally safe and worth it to protect my baby and other people's little bundles too :-)

Flu jab and whooping cough vaccination both recommended during pregnancy. You can have whooping cough vacc between 28 and 38 weeks. Particularly important as whooping cough is on the rise at the moment and being vaccinated during pregnancy is the only way to protect your baby in the first 2 months, when they're most at risk.

It's recommended that all pregnant women have the flu jab, no matter what stage of pregnancy they're at. Pregnant women are more likely to develop complications if they catch flu, which could affect the baby.

I had my whooping cough a few weeks ago and flu jab on Sat gone. No probs with whooping cough but have had some side effects of flu (lethargic, bit snotty etc) but the nurse said that it's normal. Better safe than sorry I say :) x
