Its amazing what baby can survive on in those early weeks. I was extremely tired yet my bed was my worse enemy. I prefered to sleep on the sofa or chair. Dont overly stress yourself, your body will let you know exactly what it needs. It will cry out for different things. Dont over think things and follow your instincts. Congratulations :) xx

If it is of any consolation I became a super insomniac since early in pregnancy too and I still am at 22 weeks. It must be the hormones. Baby is fine! I tried various tricks: drinking milk before bed, keeping myself cool, elevate my legs with pillows. The only thing that worked for me is meditate for 15-20min before going to bed.

Im 27wks now & find it difficult to get to sleep most nights too. During the early stages i would just be restless & feel exhausted most of the time but now i think my body has adjusted to it plus not a day goes by when i dont feel some sort of movement from the baby so i wouldnt worry too much about it.

I guess its just our body's way of dealing with the sleepless night we have to come once the baby arrives.

xx

I'm 29 weeks and waking fora couple of hours most nites now it's Horrible not being able to sleep isn't it!I Can't even lay in! X

I suffer with chronic fatigue syndrome which has got slightly worse since falling pregnant. So not quite the same thing but can definitely sympathise with you. Its a horrible position to be. I was recomended to try and do relaxation 5 times a day for only about 5 minutes at a time unless you can manage more. (I struggle with allowing myself to relax it certainly doesnt come naturally to me) this gives your body and mind a chance to get some energy back and recover slightly from the strain of everyday life. Then when your not worrying about going to sleep you will find you fall to sleep better. Also don't over do things if you need to sit down and rest do the washing up can wait till tomorrow or till the OH does it
