Hiccups....

Since the start of my second trimester I'm constantly getting hiccups. They are driving me mad, I'm getting them 3/4 times everyday, sometimes lasting 5 minutes, sometimes lasting half hour. Anyone else experiencing this? Is it related to being pregnant or just a coincidence?

Thanks for any advice.

I have had them throughout my pregnancy and am 35 weeks tomorrow. My midwife just said its where the space in ur diaphragm is getting less so less air can get out. Its annoying tho x

Thanks for your reply. Yeah it's really annoying, I preferred being tired all the time. I've always hated hiccups and getting them this often is irritating. I hope I don't have them this often till I'm full term I'm only just over 15 weeks :/ x

Try to practice this breathing technique daily. Apart from calming you down it will help strengthen your diaphragm:
