please does anyone know much about uclh hospital and their maternity midwifery antenatal services.

Hi there.

I have heard mixed reviews about uclh recently I was undecided initially where to have mine and decided on royal free. I can say hands down the care I have received from both the hospital and the community midwife teams has been exceptional I also have had an admissiion to antenatal ward and the car was exceptional too.

okay,thanks p1ddh. I had to choose between royal free and uclh ,so I chose uclh so I.dont really know if I've made the right choice.

I am at UCLH and I am really pleased with the antenatal services. I never had to wait long, any issues they found they immediately referred me to specialists, their ultrasound radiologists were brilliant and super methodical and their ultrasound equipment is the best in the country (even better than in private care). My appointments with midwives were good with detailed advice. And the shiny clean facilities are quite reassuring. So, absolutely no complaint about antenatal care.

The only things I've heard about as complaints is that they can be incredibly busy so postnatal care can be a bit hit and miss. But on the other hand I've heard great things about their midwife led birth unit.
