It sounds like your uterus is stretching, is it like a stinging pain and then sometimes feels like a stitch?

I will be 26 weeks tomorrow and what you are describing sounds familiar. I get those pains when I stand up from sitting and also when I walk. I think it is just the muscles and ligaments taking the strain of the ever-growing bump.

I am 19 weeks today and get sharp pains in the sides of my bump and they feel a lot like you have described which I know is due to my uterus stretching. It's uncomfortable but not unbareable. If you feel concerned, just pop your midwife (or team) a call or see you doctor. I am sure they will tell you the same as we have though. My midwife said to call again if I felt like the pain was too much to handle - a little aching and stiffness is normal. Hope that helps.
