Not sure if anyone else is from Northern Ireland but at the minute we are experiencing our 'summer' 23 degrees today and not a cloud in the sky its such amazing weather.. if i actually got to see any of it.. my feet, hands and face are so swollen from pregnancy (38+4 weeks) and the heat.. i cant fit into any of my shoes and im to hot to wear any clothes and as much as everyone says im blooming theres only so much of a pregnant lady people want to see
Between all the usual pregnancy symptoms, carpal tunnel syndrome, high blood pressure (have my third midwife house call tomorrow to re take) and now having niggly pressure pain and sore braxton hicks, im just soooo excited to finally get to meet the little man iv been growing nicely for what feels like an eternity Not long to go now
Hope all you lovely ladies are keeping well and looking forward to hopefully a nice, happy and healthy summer xxxx

Put on a bikini and plant yourself on a beach.
Good luck with the last stage! Hope all goes well xx
hey I live in south east England and we had our summer last week, at which time I was moving house, its now cloudy and no sun! I am 27+1 but last week was a killer, obv moving house didn't help. I have got slightly high blood pressure too although wen I had it taken on tues (just after I had moved) it was normal which was suprising. I haven't got to the swollen stage yet. do u have a garden? u shud get a paddling pool and just lay in it, thts what I wud do lol...on a serious note, have u got a fan or something, just sit indoors and chill out, maybe get a bowl of cold water and put ur feet in. not long now, have u decided on a name? gd luck for the impending birth xx
37+4 weeks today. I'm in Dubai the heat is 40c . Luckily I have air con but I can imagine how your feeling the houses back home are meant to keep the heat in... That sounds lush weather for NI though. been on Skype to my parents and they are loving the weather across the Irish Sea in Liverpool. So far I've not swollen up but getting up too quickly is making me feel dizzy. Only three more doctor appointments for me next one Wednesday. my hubby is choosing the names this time, he's finding boys names hard. So far this pregnancy has been smooth sailing very low risk. Baby has engaged I think because my heartburn has completely gone yay so can't wait for my arrival my other two children 6 and 4.5 are very excited to know whether they have a brother or sister. X
lol would love to walk about in a bikini Queenie78 tho as im sure most people are aware we Irish love our food and iv seen many a man this week that would need to put on some clothes lol not used to this weather but it is Great.. its amazing how a little sunshine can make everyone so happy
Thanks Ceribean thank god your bp is normal again, must just have been the stress of moving. What a week to move.. i have a garden but there is no shade what so ever, with my midwife coming tomorrow if im burnt she would not be too pleased id say but im walking in and out checking on my daughter whos out loving the sun when you hit 37/38 weeks gets a footspa for swelling if you have any.. they are amazing.. my feet where like balloons yesterday and i sat most of last night with them in it and today i can walk again (kind of!) lol. Iv thought of a few names, boys names are harder to pick than girls i thin, i knew my daughters name when i found out i was pregnant, hes nearly here and im still trying to decide
Dubai.. OMG im so jealous Allyemo1985.. tho how are you coping in the heat and with two other wee ones to run after? they must be so excited to have a little brother or sister coming im sure having the air con at night esp would help you sleep.. I cant get a minute sleep, all the windows in the house open and no air coming through.. sounds ridiculous as its only 23 here but we are so not used to it lol.. its good you have not swollen even in the heat I get dizzy a lot as wel but think it must be my bp. Good luck with your doctors app.. not long to go for you either its exciting. oh i wish i could say to my partner to pick the name, but hes a football maniac and who knows what name or team he would pick lol
I'm pretty use to the heat really been out here three years now. You can cope but because of air con mainly. Otherwise I think I'd combust. yeah defiantly my blood pressure I think with the weight of baby pressing down is. To be expected. Can't wait weeks and days are flying by. Mustered up some energy to go ikea shopping with my mate today probably last shopping trip. I'm feeling something may happen soon its weird I kind of feel its ready to come. Fingers crossed ive not long to wait. defiantly get your feet up and rest if theya re swollen with some ice packs laying on them . To be fare hubby has picked a nice girls names but he's struggling with boys he knows if I don't like it it gets shot down lol so he do good I'm sure x
lol my boyfriend is football mad too and supports Tottenham so at first when we found out we were having a boy he wanted to call him gareth after gareth bale as to which I was like definitely not, gareths not a name I wud choose and also he wont be at the club nxt season so then the following week when aarron lennon scored a goal it was aaron and so on lol. Yes I think boys names r more tricky before we found out what we were having we had our girls name so when we found out we were having a boy it was a bit more tricky, I think we have settled on rory tho I am kind of hoping that as the weeks go on we have another summer like last yr or not as last yr was, if it gets too warm tho I might just get a paddling pool and lay in it all day but just not when the sun is fully in my garden as having fair skin I will just end up post box red. xx
Hi there. I'm from ni and struggling with the heat. I'm 36 weeks. It's lovely that we are getting the Sun at long last but I'm struggling. I bought a fan yesterday and had it going all night in our bedroom. I was in town at the weekend trying to find cool clothes. Hard to find. I thought a maxi dress wold be easy to find. Not for pregnant woman's who can't go out without underwear on for various leakage reasons. I've found the dresses are either see through and you can see my most unattractive pants or they have silly straps and I can't go anywhere without a bra. So I've had a bit of a melt down with my husband.
