Hello everyone! For past week I've suffered with swollen ankles and feet. It can get really painful and even my socks get to tight. I also get pins and needles as well and I'm only 27 weeks gone. Do I call the midwife or do I just get along with it till I give birth? X

Swollen ankles/feet help!
Ive been the same ive been putting feet up when sitting down it seems to help abit am seeing midwife next week so am guna mention it. I'd phone your midwife just to put your mind at ease
Compression socks, like the ones you use for flying are really good. Other tips are keeping hydrated, legs and feet elevated and foot rotations. NHS website has tips, not much more you can do though. Just another of the delights
Should get it checked as well. .. where it's getting warmer doesnt help with swelling. ... but feet up drink plenty x
Def if you havent been seen recently get checked. As long as BP etc all fine it can be just an annoying feature and compression socks a good idea.
My feet are so bad I haven't been able to wear shoes for weeks.. got compression socks but can't get them on myself.. if bp is fine only thong can do is spend as much time as possible with legs elevated higher than hips.
I'm 26 weeks, My ankles go up and down depending on how much am on my feet, at work they swell as standing & walking majority of day, the week I had off the swelling went down. I spoke to midwife about compression socks, she said that was fine but want to wear flip flops at the mo so the socks are out. Elevate feet when relaxing, that should help ??
