Am I Pregnant?

Hi there

I regularly have my periods every 28 days however my last period was on the 12th April!!

I have done 5 (yes 5!) pregnancy tests that have all come back negative. I do not take any contraception and me and my hubby are trying for a baby. Does any one have any suggestions as to what's happening here? Thanks in advance.

I got a negative test when I was pregnant but think I must have tested to early and I bought a really cheap test, people say they work the same but I am not convinced.

I would wait a few days as your hormones levels double everyday if you are pregnant and buy a clear blue test and test first thing in the morning when you go to the loo. If that comes back negative then I would say you are not pregnant and it must be something else then contact your gp.

Thanks for your advice. I have used a Clearblue test and that came back negative. I think I may go and see my doctor as my periods are every 28 days religiously so I don't know what's happening.

The way I found out I was pregnant was from a blood test. I rang back for my results though the day after and spoke to the receptionist and she said everything was normal. I just assumed they knew what they were talking about. My hcg level was 2000 which is not normal but I didn't know. I persisted and finally got to see the doc I really wanted as I still had not come on my period and she took another lot of bloods and my hcg level had gone up to 20,000 in a week. I think she said anything over 25 is classed as pregnant but not sure ask them at your appointment.

I have made an appointment with my doctor for later on today so I will request a blood test. With my first child it came up on a home testing kit straight away however I suppose each pregnancy is different, I will keep you posted:-)

Hi

The doctor was 'useless' as per usual. They didn't offer me a blood test even though I asked for one and their conclusion as to why I haven't had a period since 12th April is because of 'stress' even though I am not stressed!! complete waste of time however still no sign of period so I will wait till the end of week and do another test x
