Baby names
Ah names are sooo hard. Especially as you both have to agree! I loved Aaron for a boy but hubby hates it. What about Kayla for a girl - pretty and similar to the ones you like above - just another option! Good luck choosing! X
I like Jessica for a girl and Jorge for a boy. Your girl names I like Lila and I love Dexter. My 2nd lad was nearly called Dexter.
Lila is nice.or maybe Lilly?i like Dexter as well.i had Oscar on my mind if we had a boy. But its a girl and from day one i chose Nadia Anya it was hard as i had to think about the names that are the same in english and my language.my son's name is Daniel xx
I am having a boy and one of the names we have both decided that we actually like is rory, my boyfriend likes aaron but I am undecided, other than that we cant come up with any that we can actually decide we BOTH like, I like names that are a bit more modern and little bit different but my boyfriend likes traditional names. hope u can find one that u like xx
oh its so hard to choose names, I like unual names its good to have something different, I like names you picked, my daughters called miya & my sons called cuba , choosed it after watching film with actor cuba goodin junior,
he suits the name so much im having another boy so I really need to think of another great name
boys names :caylor, kailor, cruiz, I like they names
We can't find anything we both like! Going to go with the slightly risky strategy of seeing what Flump looks like, or just sticking with Flump!!
We really struggled picking girls names, luckily we're having a boy! We couldn't decide. My bf wants Reggie?! I really don't like it, I'd also picked Dexter, but he doesn't like that. For now bump is being called Elvis while we come up with something - our names list is very long but a few front runners..... Riley, Corey, Ethan, Lucas...not sure we'll ever agree! I'm hoping one we both really like will suit him once he's here
I'm only just under 8 weeks at the mo, but I know that my husband and I are going to have BIG trouble with names! We're both teachers, you see, so whichever name you think of, there's always SOMEONE you've taught with the same name and some connotation that comes with it. PLUS we need to make sure we avoid the 'naughty' names!
Not teachers, but that's part of our problem: there's always someone we dislike with the same name !!
I see now why people call their children weird names like 'Apple'
Haha! My other halve suggested Sausages... For the best part of a week, while in France for a few days, Flump went bet the name Sausages Baguette!! ;-/
Ours was conceived while on Honeymoon in Mauritius. I suggested calling him 'Maurice', if 'it's' a boy...this wasn't greeted with enthusiasm by my husband !
It's so hard isn't it my youngest is Lucas I knew I was going to call him that as soon as I was pregnant! reggie reminds me of reggie Yates who presents the voice and he is such a lovely lad know a Riley he is a sweetheart like Corey and Ethan...nadia anya is lovely my brother in law is Daniel lovely name...and flump is sweet lol...with my first i was the same decided when she was born...well good luck everyone with names and pregnancies x
Love miya my friends little girl is called that and cuba what a cool little name! Xx
Me too,
I loved Dexter when i was pregnant but the oh wouldn't have it. Oscar, Hunter, Riley and Jack were also on the list (we knew it was a boy) we decided on Jack Hunter, wasn't going to have middle name but because our surname is Davies, i didn't want lo being called JD. Ostara was the only name i had for a girl. X
I like Isla, Iona, Isabella, Seona, Caitlin, Emily for girls. Boys are more difficult, Ruaridh, Alex, James, Rory, Ross...
im struggling for girls names ! I have a 3yo son - Logan ( chose by his dad after wolverine )
my girl name for him was Akira Rae , names were decided b4 a baby was ever made , I liked Logan , dad didn't like Akira so agreed the sex would decide . I still love Akira but his cousin had a girl a month after and shes called kira !
I like more unusual names , I have 1 'Jarrod' and love it ! as a woman now 30, this has allways been a talking point ! don't know anyone with my name personally although 1 of the kings of leon and a couple of American celebrities with similar sounding names , but is generally thought a boys name .
for a boy I had Kaleb and Deacon but as its a girl these are no good !
Kyra- is on my list !
Isla - was my chosen name but now my nieces !
Rain & shay- love , love, love , these but dont go with my surname : (
Meadow & Willow - were liked by me but hated by daddy
Layla - I love but have ruled out having an L as I don't want the kids to have same initial ! have also ruled out 'S' as my surname begins with 'S' and don't like S S sounds.
Kara , Elise , Kyla, Kady, Nyah all on list but nothing jumping out at me , daddy not really loving of any as hes more safe , but its really my decision as he got to have his' go' with Logan ! if he strongly objects I take it off , if he just pulls a face it stays on .
Hi, if you like more unusual names...look at traditional Irish names like Orla (Orlaith) or Elisha...not only are they slightly unusual but also different sounding to the spelling. Also Latin/Greek names are cool. For instance my middle name is Aoife (as in E-Far) and I love it because people have no idea how to say it when they see it on paper then they're intrigued by it
im irish decent and spent a lot of time there as I child ( my nanna and irish born and bred grandad lived there till I was I teenager ) , so know how lovely the names can b , I love the mame Saoirse ( sare-sha ) but its doesn't go with my surname that also begins with an 'S' : (
love the irish name Kelan for a boy 2 .
thanks
There are so many beautiful Irish names, I'm glad you're thinking about the initials for you baby.
I love this site - babynamesofireland.com/
Good luck
I wonder what Kate Middleton is going to have, bet she chooses a really boring name, I cant imagine he or she is going to be called Apple or after where the baby is conceived like Anglesey. lol
Lol
These are some names from children up my school.
Sienna, hannah, levi, Presley, jayden, callum, zach, to name but a few!
I have a Mason and wish I could just call this one Mason too as I still love his name. It was decided about 10 weeks into my pregnancy and we agreed so easily. This time is a whole different story! I LOVE the name Noah but my partner hates it so its a no go. If we have a boy I think his name will be Austin and if its a girl she will be Aria Rose we also like Blake for a boy and Orla for a girl. I will let you all know in roughly 3-5 weeks depending on when little bump makes an apperance! x
We like very traditional names and went with Thomas when baby arrived. We had Elliot, Noah, Alexander, Oliver on our boys list and Isabelle and Beatrice for a girl. Hubby also liked Imogen and I liked aoife but the other didn't!
Our daughter's name is Lorelei Athena. I love that both her names have a story behind them. We call her Rory for short too (if there are any Gilmore Girl fans out there, lol). When thinking of names, i kept thinking what would sound good with 'Dr' in front of it... Just incase, lol! My husband kept thinking of what he felt comfortable shouting down the isles at Tesco! We had tons of boy names we both agreed on but no girl ones; Lucien, Orion, Kaelin, Blake, Maliki. There are some lovely Welsh and old Germanic names out there too, if you have a fondness for Celtic. I liked a lot of girl names ending in 'a' (Lyta and Arya were strong runner ups), but our surname begins with 'a' too. Love Akira for a girl, being a big fan of the Japanese film. Love Odessa and variants of too. We had her name in mind for about two months before she was born but didn't want to settle on it till we saw her and then we knew that was her name.
Seems like naming is one of the simplest thing for me. there are millions to choose from and each means something interesting. Plus we have the flexibility to have first, middle and last name as both husband and I have middle names.
We have decided upon the first name already (that came pretty simply).
The middle name would be Indian (would also be one of the 108 names of Goddess Durga - the Goddess of Strength - so that is where we are thinking, my grandmom was named after Durga so we might choose her name as the middle name for my little girl, and than there is another one which rhyms so much to my own and is available for a google account too, so pretty unique like mine and my husband's) - else we might just opt for Durga to be her middle name.
but I am sure it wont be a tuff decision, we both seem to agree instantly on stuffs like these
