Have just taken a pregnancy test at approx 10 weeks and the line is a lot fainter than it was a couple of weeks ago. Is this normal?

Could be...if you took the last test first thing in the morning as HCG levels are higher when you do your first wee of the day. x

No it wasn't in the morning as I had to go and buy a test. I know hcg levels fluctuate and the doc said that further into pregnancy you'll even get a negative test. My last period was a lot shorter than normal so am wondering if its maybe because i'm further along than first thought. At my booking appointment I told the midwife this but she didn't seem interested.

Your hcg levels are too high for the pregnancy test. Try watering down your sample. Pregnancy tests show a lot fainter 6weeks plus x

Thanks for the advice. I think I only did another test as have been feeling so normal recently that sometimes I wonder if i'm still pregnant (stupid I know). Can't wait for my 12 week dating scan as will make it feel so much more real.
