hi everyone…….has anyone gotten substantial improvement from PT and biofeedback? I had CA 20 yrs ago and now having lots of GI problems. My GI specialist would like me to try this to see if I can get some improvements. Otherwise she’d like me to see a colorectal surgeon. I’ve called many places and no one will take Medicare. The clinics are backed up till November. I’m in NY. Can anyone give me some feedback or your personal experiences? Thanks….hope you’re all have a good day:)

Yea I was wondering myself. I think she’s doing a last ditch effort before an MRI and colorectal surgeon. Truthfully, I have a hard time trusting Dr’s after 20 years of medical complications. Did you get any kind of treatments or it’s mostly diet?

Not to much fruit or vegetables

Do you have bowel incontinence? I have that and just wondering if there’s any hope for that to change.

I have never heard of this but give it a try. At least your Dr is listening to you. Best to you.

Thank you. I really think she’s just trying anything. Did you do anything or just diet?

Hello JunieandGracie. I take a digestive enzyme and peppermint capsules. They don't really help me. I follow a FODMAP diet but sometimes anything that I eat bothers my gut. Then I get terrible cramps and use the toilet at least 10 times. Pelvic radiation has damaged my gut so bad. I can't take any of the meds that my gastroenterologist has prescribed because I have glaucoma and the warning is that it will affect my optic nerve and increase my eye pressure. My gastroenterologist said to just take Tylenol but I don't know what that will do! I have to schedule my endoscopy that he wants me to have. I hope that you get some help with your issues. God bless

thanks……yes, my pelvic radiation destroyed my GI. It’s a lot to live with. Mine is diarrhea and incontinence. I feel sick to my stomach or nauseous a lot of the time. Sorry to hear that you can’t get any help with meds. I guess this is the price we pay for being alive. Thanks for responding:)
