Firstly let me tell those who don't already know, that Radiographers are NOT permitted to talk to you about anything they may or may not see on a Scan. They are qualified to take Pictures, nothing else. The Images are sent to the Consultant Radiologist who reports on the Scans to your Consultant.
One day about 5yrs after my Radical Hysterectomy & Radiotherapy I was having a CT Scan check-up. In those 5yrs I had been bullied by different Medical Professionals, shouted at, been at review apmts were the Doctor was looking at someone elses notes, been ignored, left in pain. You name it & I have been through it.
Half way through the Scan the Radiographer came out to start the Dye Infusion & said to me........'Do you know you have no Womb?' Well in that moment I thought about everything that I had been through & the only words that came to my lips were.....'You're kidding, it was definitely there when I left the House this Morning, I must have lost it in the Carpark'. Needless to say the Radiographer just looked at me in amazement, turned around & went back in to the Control Room. Hopefully he would have thought afterwards that if you ask a stupid question expect to get a stupid answer!! π
