I had anal cancer and was treated with the Nigro protocol. I am 22 months out of chemo-radiation treatment but have chronic symptoms from the treatment. I am interested in connecting with others who have similar cases.

Hi Naneki, I am relatively new to the Group. I'm 25yrs Post Womb Cancer Treatment. Radical Hysterectomy & Radiotherapy. What I have found from my new Friends here is that the Symptoms of Radiotherapy damage to the Pelvic area are very similar. Although not everyone has all the symptoms, most have experience of many. I don't know what your symptoms are but don't be afraid to speak freely. The more you share, the more you will see that others will have advice & experience of the same thing. We're all lucky to have found each other & I wish you luck.

Hi Naneki,

I had anal cancer and the Nigro protocol in 2019. I'm in California and have been active in the Anal Cancer Foundation as a peer counselor. Unfortunately, a lot of people have aftereffects of this treatment. Urgency and incontinence are quite common. So are neuropathies and fatigue. Please let me know what you need help with and I'll try to offer some specific advice. Good luck to you.
